Headed to Nutanix Tech Connect 2026

Overview

It's Friday, and the countdown is officially on! I've spent the last two weeks heads down with customers, and while that's the work I love, it doesn't leave much room to come up for air. Next week, I get to do exactly that. I'm trading the customer calls for a few days with my fellow Nutanix Technology Champions and the Nutanix experts at Tech Connect 2026, and my inner nerd is already packing.

If you won't be in the room, don't worry. I'm bringing you along for the ride, and this post is your preview of everything I'm hoping to geek out on.

So What Is Tech Connect?

Tech Connect is invite-only, which means a small group of us gets to sit down with the Nutanix experts and go way deeper than we normally get through the NTC channels or even at .Next. No marketing gloss, no high-level overview slides. Just the good stuff: architecture, roadmaps, and the "how does that actually work under the hood?" conversations I live for.

Being invited is a big deal to me. I still get excited about this kind of access, and I'm not going to waste a minute of it.

Why I'm Pumped

  • The people: After two weeks of customer meetings, I'm ready to spend a few days with fellow Champions who get just as excited about storage paths and replication intervals as I do. These are my people, and I've missed them.
  • The experts: Time with the folks who build this stuff, complete with whiteboards, deep technical rabbit holes, and questions that would get a polite "let's take that offline" anywhere else.
  • The hallway talks: Some of my favorite "aha" moments have come from a random conversation over coffee, not from a session.
  • Bringing it home: Everything I learn goes straight back to the customers I've been working with and right here on the blog.

What I'm Going to Geek Out On

AI, AI, and More AI

Let's be real, AI is at the top of the list. It shows up in pretty much every customer conversation I have right now, and the last two weeks were no exception. My recent webinar on Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI) and the Agent Gateway only added fuel to the fire, and I'm itching to dive deeper into NAI next week. I can't wait to see how Nutanix is tackling the AI revolution across the whole stack:

  • AI on Nutanix: How the platform is evolving to run AI workloads, from the infrastructure all the way up to the tools that put models to work.
  • Data, data, data: AI is hungry, and the data requirements just keep growing. I want to see how Nutanix plans to feed the beast with the capacity, performance, and data management to match.
  • Security: More data plus more AI equals a bigger attack surface. I'm eager to hear how security is getting baked in, not bolted on.
  • Databases: Databases sit at the heart of nearly every AI and analytics workflow, so I'm ready to dig into what's new for running them on Nutanix.

The Rest of My Wish List

AI may be the headliner, but I'm just as fired up about a few other areas that come up with my customers every single week:

  • Disaster Recovery: You know I love a good DR conversation. I want to see where recovery plans, replication, and orchestration are headed next.
  • Flow: Microsegmentation and networking nerds, unite! With environments spreading across sites and clouds, I'm curious what's coming for Flow.
  • NC2: Anything and everything NC2. Hybrid cloud keeps popping up in customer conversations, and I want the inside scoop on where it's going.

Follow Along

I'll be sharing takeaways on LinkedIn as the event unfolds (at least the parts I'm allowed to share), and I'll put together a full recap here once I've had a chance to come down from the nerd high.

Wrapping Up

If you had a seat at the table with the Nutanix experts, what would you ask? AI, Disaster Recovery, Flow, NC2, or something totally different? Send me your questions before I head out next week, and I'll bring back whatever I can.
